Abu Dhabi Police have warned motorists against playing games on their mobiles while driving because it causes "distraction".
On its official Instagram account, the police urged people to drive carefully to maintain their safety and that of other people on the road.
Using mobile phones while driving could lead to a dangerous fallout, including traffic accidents and congestions, the police added.
It is also considered a violation, which could entail a fine of Dh800 and 4 black points
Apart from playing games and talking on the mobile while at the wheel, taking pictures or selfies, texting or putting on makeup are equally dangerous and distracting.
